The following were comments by John Higgins, one of the ten men from St.
Peter attended the 4th annual Catholic Men's Conference in Newark on
March 10, 2012: "I was taken by large number of men of all ages who attended. I felt part of the universal church. One of the speakers, Alan Hunt, who is a former Methodist pastor and now a convert, repeatedly said we are a people of The Eucharist. His message was reinforced by a large Eucharistic procession and adoration with 2500 men on their knees singing The Lord’s praises. It was stirring and many men were moved to tears. Confession was ongoing all day and many went. The speakers were inspirational and funny and the music and lyrics moved many hearts. The day's events brought me closer to The Lord and made me feel blessed to be a Catholic." "This event brought me close to Christ and set me up for Easter." |
