3rd Annual Heavenly Bake-Off
is being held at our
10th Annual Festival Picnic on Sunday, June 26, 2005
Has the Lord given you the gift of creating mouth-watering, scrumptious desserts? Put that gift to good use and enter
the Bake-Off for our 10th Annual Festival!
All recipes MUST be submitted with the detachable registration form (below) to the Rectory by 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2005. We can only accept the first twenty (20) entries. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be presented for the best pie or cake.
Contest Rules:
Only one (1) pie or cake per contestant will be accepted.
Completed entry form with list of ingredients (in consideration of judges’ food allergies) for entry must be received at the rectory and marked “Festival Committee” no later that 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2005.
Your homemade entry must be brought to the Festival Picnic Judging Table no later than 2:30 PM on the day of the Picnic.
All entries must be in an 8” or 9” DISPOSABLE baking pan. This entry will become the property of the Festival Picnic Committee.
Upon receipt of the registration form by the committee, each entry will be recorded, assigned a number, and placed in the proper category.
Numbers will be placed on the bottom of the pan – NO OTHER IDENTIFYING MARKS MAY BE MADE ON THE DISPOSABLE PAN OR THE HOMEMADE CAKE OR PIE. Only the committee chair for the contest will know the identity of the baker.
All entries will be judged according to APPEARANCE, TASTE and TEXTURE!
Winner will be announced and prizes awarded immediately following the judging,
which will take place at 3:00 PM sharp by the bandstand during the Festival Picnic.
