Visitors Ministry Immigrant Detainees

 Volunteers are trained in this corporal work of mercy to visit on a twice monthly basis (30 – 45 minutes) those immigrants being held at the Bergen County Jail while their deportation hearings are held.

Visiting hours are limited to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings and Saturday evenings.

Wednesday June 22nd - 7:30 PM - Parish Center


Our Visitors Ministry to Immigrant Detainees at the Bergen County Jail has already begun. For those still interested in becoming visitors, please come to the Parish Center at 7:30 pm. Sr. Regina Holtz, coordinator of volunteer visitors, will conduct the training. Visiting hours are limited to Thursday and Friday mornings, Saturday mornings and evenings; visitors are asked to visit their detainee twice a month. Most detainees are English speaking. Please contact mbertani@verizon.net  if you plan to come or for further information. Please consider this important corporal work of mercy as a ministry commitment you might make!
