"Stay where you are
-- find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, the lonely,
right there where you are -- in your own homes and in your own families,
in your workplaces and schools."

Members of this group use their gift of
citizenship to write to Congress about legislation that has an impact on
poor and hungry people in the U.S. and abroad. They participate in Bread
for the World's annual Offering of Letters (www.bread.org), and hope to expand their
efforts to other causes that the Church identifies as important to the
poor. Members attend a 15-20 minute presentation on a given issue after
any mass on one Sunday in April. They then write letters on their own.
Parishioners are also invited to be part of a core team that will attend
one Archdiocesan information meeting, and then make the 15-20 minute
presentations to the group in April.
