Overflow Shelter
This program runs every Wednesday night in June in the gym at St. Peters. The volunteers provide shelter and meals to approximately ten homeless people sent to us from the Bergen County shelter. Workers have various jobs such as cooking dinner, bringing supplies for bag lunches and a quick breakfast, and serving as hosts in shifts throughout the night. There is one sign-up and informational meeting in the fall, and a training/organizational meeting in the spring.
