Parishioner's Guide to The ParishPay Program

Q.  What is an Automated Giving Program?

A.  It is an automated means to financially support the parish through monthly contributions from your checking, savings, or credit card account. There is NO cost to you to participate in the program.

Q.  How Does It Relate to the Use of the Weekly Envelopes?

A.  If you choose to participate in the Automated Giving Program, then it replaces the use of weekly envelopes. Once you enroll in Parish Pay, you will no longer receive a packet of weekly envelopes.

Q.  What happens with parishioners who feel uncomfortable not having something to physically drop into the collection basket?

A.   Special donation slips are available for those enrolled in the automated giving program to be dropped into the collection basket. We encourage you to join your fellow parishioners who continue to drop envelopes into the basket by using these printable slips as the symbol of your stewardship giving to Christ in the liturgy through support of St. Peter's. There is no need to enclose the slip in an envelope.

Q.   How do I enroll?

A.   You can enroll by signing up directly on the ParishPay website at www.parishpay.com, enter the zip code 07661 and St. Peter's in River Edge will appear. The process takes less than three minutes. You can also enroll by calling 1-866-PARISH-1.

Q.  Can I contribute to second collections including both parish and diocesan collections?

A.  Yes, all automated giving participants have the opportunity to contribute to second and special collections at the parish, including Christmas, Easter, Peter's Pence, and more.

Q.  How does a parishioner change his / her information, such as the amount of the donation, bank account number, updating of the credit card expiration date or mailing address?

A.  The parishioner can provide these changes directly by visiting the website at www.parishpay.com or calling 1-866-PARISH-1.  Changes and updates need to be completed by the last business day of the month to be effective with the automated deduction for the following month.

Q.  Which payment methods are accepted?

A.  Automated transfers from your checking or savings accounts or major credit cards such as American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover may be used to make monthly contributions.  (Please note any account number or expiration date changes must be made in a timely fashion to avoid an interruption in automated giving.)

Q.  When can I expect to see the payment hit my account or credit card?

A.   Monthly deductions are made on the 5th of each month.

Q.  Where does one find the Routing Code requested when enrolling using a checking account?

A.   The Routing Code is the 9 digit number found at the bottom of your check to the left of the account number.

Q.   Does the parishioner receive receipts for tax purposes?

A.  Yes, all contributors enrolled with ParishPay can print out an annual receipt directly from the website every January, which they can use for IRS documentation.

Q.  Can I donate a one-time gift or pledge for a specific term?

A.  Yes, one time gifts are graciously accepted. Participants can also arrange for a specific amount to be paid over a number of months.

Q.  If I enroll but during the year circumstances change can this enrollment be changed?

A.  You can change or stop your automatic giving at any time by simply visiting the website at www.parishpay.com and making the appropriate changes.

Q.   Who can I contact at St. Peter's if I have questions?

A.   Email Adrienne Capasso

Or call the rectory at (201) 261-3366 and leave a message.  Your call will be returned within 24 hours.
