St. Peter’s Quilters

What is The St. Peter’s Quilters?

The St. Peter’s Quilters are a group of parishioners who get together to make quilts for homeless teens at Covenant House in Newark as well as for the families that come to stay at St. Peter’s. Some quilts are made to be sold at our yearly quilt sale. We donate most of the money made from the sale back to St. Peter’s and we purchase supplies to make more quilts with the balance.

The St. Peter’s Quilters have been meeting since 2004 under the leadership of Marge Haggerty. During these years over 700 quilts have been donated to Covenant House.

What is required to become part of this ministry?
All are welcome to join us. No sewing or quilting experience is necessary. There is a job for everyone!

What is the time commitment?
We meet in the Spring and Fall every Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Parish Center. It is not necessary to come every week. You can also work at home.
