A Message From Dr. Kevin Flanagan 5/30/2026
Dr. Kevin Flanagan, Principal, St. Peter Academy
Dear St. Peter the Apostle Church Parishioners,
As another school year comes to a close at St. Peter Academy, we take this opportunity to reflect with gratitude on the many ways God has been present in the lives of our students, faculty, and families throughout the year.
Catholic education is about far more than academics. Each day, our students are formed in faith, guided by Gospel values, and encouraged to grow into young people who know Christ and strive to live as His disciples. Through daily prayer, Convocation, participation in Mass, acts of service, classroom discussions rooted in our Catholic faith, and the witness of our teachers and staff, our students have continued their journey toward a deeper relationship with God.
This year, we have watched our students grow not only intellectually but also spiritually and morally. They have learned the importance of compassion, forgiveness, responsibility, and service to others. They have supported classmates in times of need, participated in service opportunities, and demonstrated what it means to be part of a faith-filled community rooted in Christ.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of this school year, we especially recognize our graduating eighth-grade class. These young men and women have spent years being formed in the loving, faith-centered environment of St. Peter Academy. They leave our school not simply prepared for high school, but prepared to lead lives grounded in faith, integrity, and service.
Our graduates have been challenged to become servant leaders — individuals who understand that true leadership is found in humility, kindness, and placing the needs of others before their own. Through their experiences at St. Peter Academy, they have learned to lead by example, to stand up for what is right, and to live out the values of the Gospel in their daily lives.
Most importantly, they have been prepared to take the next important step in their faith journey as they approach the Sacrament of Confirmation next year. While Confirmation is ultimately a personal choice and commitment to the Catholic faith, we are proud that our school has helped provide them with the spiritual foundation, knowledge, and confidence to fully embrace that decision. We pray that each graduate continues to deepen their relationship with Christ and remains active in the life of the Church for years to come.
We thank our parish community for the continued support, prayers, and partnership that make Catholic education possible. Together, we continue the important mission of forming disciples, strengthening faith, and preparing young people to be lights of Christ in the world.
May God continue to bless our students, graduates, families, parish, and school community.
In Christ,
Dr. Kevin Flanagan
