From the Pastor’s Desk 4/25/2025
Dear Friends,
Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
As we celebrate the great joy of Easter, the triumph of life over death, and the victory of our Risen Lord, we extend warm and heartfelt Easter blessings to you and your families. May this season of resurrection fill your hearts with peace, renewed faith, and the enduring hope that only Christ can give.
Amid our Easter rejoicing, we also recognize the solemn news of the passing of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis, who was called home to the Lord on Easter Monday. In God’s perfect timing, his death—so near the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection—bears profound spiritual meaning. As we proclaim new life in Christ, we also commend the soul of His faithful servant into eternal glory.
Pope Francis was a shepherd after Christ’s heart: humble, courageous, and deeply committed to the Gospel. His papacy was marked by a prophetic voice for mercy, compassion for the marginalized, and a profound call to live the joy of the Gospel in our daily lives.
In his own words, he reminded us:
"The resurrection of Christ is not an event of the past; it contains a vital power which has permeated this world. Where all seems to be dead, signs of the resurrection suddenly spring up. It is an irresistible force."
— Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium, 276
As we remember Pope Francis with love and gratitude, may we continue to live as people of the Resurrection—firm in the hope he so beautifully shared.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, grace-filled Easter.
He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!
