From the Desk of Dr. Kevin Flanagan

Dr. Kevin Flanagan, Principal, St. Peter Academy

Dear St. Peter the Apostle Parish Family,

As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, we pause to give thanks—not only for the gift of Catholic education, but for the extraordinary parish community that makes it possible.

Catholic schools do far more than educate minds. They form hearts in faith, teach children to see the world through the lens of the Gospel, and help young people grow into disciples who know they are loved by God and called to serve others. This sacred work cannot happen in isolation. It flourishes only when a school is rooted in a strong, faith-filled parish.

We are profoundly grateful to be part of a host parish that believes so deeply in its school. Your support, encouragement, prayers, and presence are felt every day in our classrooms, hallways, and liturgies. It is a true blessing to serve a parish that understands that a Catholic school is not separate from parish life—but an extension of it.

We thank God for blessing us with Fr. A.J. and Fr. Paul, whose spiritual leadership, guidance, and care strengthen both our parish and our school community. We are equally grateful for the families who entrust us with their children, the students who bring joy and life into our building each day, and the dedicated teachers and staff who see their work not simply as a job, but as a ministry.

Together, as parish and school, we share a common mission: to pass on the faith, to form young people in truth and love, and to help them recognize God’s presence in their lives. During Catholic Schools Week, we celebrate this partnership with grateful hearts and renewed commitment.

Thank you for being a parish community that prays for, supports, and believes in Catholic education. We are truly blessed, and we thank God for each of you.

With gratitude and prayers,

Kevin Flanagan, Ed.D

Principal, St. Peter Academy
