American Heroes (Hallow series)
As we prepare to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States, you're invited to join us in a 13-day audio series exploring the inspiring stories of various figures who changed the course of our history through their faith and virtues. In often hidden ways, these men and women responded to the needs and challenges of their time, allowing their actions to flow from contemplation and communion with God.
This series normally would require a Hallow App subscription, but is free for St. Peter's parishioners. To participate, join our parish page on the Hallow App here. Once you've joined, visit our parish page via the "Church" tab and join the "American Heroes" challenge, beginning June 22 and ending on July 4th!
We look forward to learning and praying with you through this fascinating series — and we hope you'll invite someone to join you!
Parish Festival Mass & Picnic in the Park 2026
The tradition continues! Join us for our annual Parish Festival Mass & Picnic in the Park as we celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul and give thanks for our wonderful parish community on Sunday, June 28.
Our 12:00 PM Mass will be celebrated outdoors at Veteran’s Memorial Park in River Edge, followed by an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun for all ages, including a DJ, bounce house, ice cream truck, giant lawn games, and more! In the case of rain, the picnic will be held in the School Gym.
This cherished parish tradition is made possible by the generous volunteers who help bring the day to life. We invite you to lend a hand by signing up for a one-hour shift to help with setup, cleanup, grilling, games, or becoming every child’s favorite person at the cotton candy and popcorn station.
To volunteer, please sign up here. If you need assistance signing up, please stop by the Welcome Desk.
We look forward to celebrating and spending this special afternoon together!

A Biblical Walk Through the Mass (Hallow Parish Prayer Challenge)
Have you ever wondered why we say what we say—or do what we do—at Mass? Join fellow parishioners in a new, 8-day prayer challenge on our St. Peter the Apostle community page on the Hallow app: A Biblical Walk Through the Mass, beginning May 30th and concluding with the Feast of Corpus Christi.
Led by Dr. Edward Sri, this powerful Hallow course unpacks the biblical foundations of the prayers, postures, and rituals we experience during the Liturgy. Each session brings deeper understanding and renewed meaning to our worship.
To participate, visit our parish community page on Hallow here (or via the “Church” tab if you’ve already downloaded the app and joined our parish page) and join the waitlist for this challenge. The waitlist is expected to open on or around May 16, 2026.
Whether you’re diving deeper into your own faith or just curious to learn more, we look forward to growing in faith and love for the Mass together as a parish family. Please consider inviting someone who may also find this meaningful!

Called By Name Sunday
At a time when the Church needs priests more than ever, one invitation could help a young man discover the path God has prepared for him. Cardinal Tobin is inviting us to help identify faithful young men (ages 15–35) who exhibit a love of God and neighbor, and who may be open to learning more about the priesthood.
Does someone come to mind?
You’re encouraged to share his name, which can be done by filling out a pew card the weekend of April 25-26th or submitting a name at newarkpriest.com. (Please note that the Parish Office can assist with any information asked in the form which you may not know — just fill out what you can!) Those submitted will receive a personal letter of encouragement from Cardinal Tobin, along with invitations to discernment events and support from the Vocations Team.
A simple recommendation can make a lasting impact. Thank you for supporting these young men and helping encourage vocations in our Church!

Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit
The Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit is coming to St. Peter's April 1st - 12th! This traveling exhibit invites you to rediscover and deepen your belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Inspired by the work of Saint Carlo Acutis, who dedicated his young life to cataloguing Eucharistic miracles from across the globe, this exhibit draws from the foundation he created to help others recognize the extraordinary reality of Christ’s presence in the Eucharist.
This exhibit is free and open to the public. Find details and viewing times at www.saint-peter.org/exhibit
Sponsored by the Archdiocese of Trenton and brought to St. Peter’s by the New Evangelization Ministry.

Our faith calls us to love our neighbors. Join us for a large service opportunity as we put our faith in action this Lent through the Feed Thy Neighbor event. Your help is needed to make this happen! Please consider donating food/supplies, and/or volunteering for the 2/25 event itself! Donations gratefully will be accepted by 1pm on Sunday, February 22nd.
Please sign up for our specific donation needs and/or sign up to volunteer! Space is limited for the 2/25 event itself, so please sign up early. Please visit the Welcome Desk in the Gathering Space if you need assistance signing up.
