Easter Sunday Masses
Celebrate the joyous resurrection of Christ at 8am, 10am or 12pm Masses on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Reminder: There is no 5pm Mass on Holy Saturday.

Easter Vigil Mass of the Resurrection
On Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025, join us in a beautiful Mass which will not only includes the joyful celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, but the reading of a multitude of Old Testament passages that lead to Christ’s return. The Mass begins at 8pm outside with a procession with the new Church candle and includes the bestowing of sacraments upon this year’s catechumen, Jesse.
This mass will be livestreamed.
Got bells? In keeping parish tradition, bring your bells to this mass for the “ringing of the bells”

Easter Food Blessing
Join us in the blessing of your Easter food at 11am in the chapel on Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025. You’re invited to bring your Easter baskets of meats, breads, decorated eggs, jelly beans, chocolates, etc. to be blessed in the chapel.
The custom of blessing food for Easter arose from the discipline of fasting throughout Lent and the special Easter fast during the Triduum. Easter was the first day when meat, eggs, and other foods could again be eaten.
Swieconka (sh-vee-soon-kah) is one of the most enduring and beloved Eastern European traditions. Baskets containing a sampling of Easter food are brought to the church to be blessed on Holy Saturday. The basket is traditionally lined with a white linen or lace napkin and decorated with sprigs of boxwood, the typical Easter evergreen. Special pride is taken in preparing a decorative and tasteful basket with crisp linens, occasionally embroidered for the occasion, and just enough boxwood and ribbon woven through the handle. Observing the foods and creations of other parishioners is one of the special joys of the event.

School of Prayer: St. Peter's Lenten Parish Mission 2025
This Lent we invite you to deepen your relationship with God through strengthening your prayer life. Each night of St. Peter’s Lenten Parish Mission invites you to engage with the Lord through learning prayer techniques and putting them into action. Every night will have music, and the final of the three nights concludes with Eucharistic Adoration and the opportunity for Confessions as well.
www.saint-peter.org/lentmission2025
Sunday, March 30th at 7pm: “Finding Peace Amidst the Noise”
Join us as we kick off our mission, with a chance to step away from the busyness of life and enter into a deeper encounter with God. With music led by Jim Gregory (Director of Music Ministry) and a talk and guided meditation by Allison Oblen (Director of Faith Formation), you will have the chance to engage in scripture with your imagination, rooted in the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Step away. Be still. Encounter Christ in a new way.
Monday, March 31st at 7pm: “Divine Reading”
Enjoy prayerful music followed by a reflection led by Chris Black (Pastoral Associate for Adult Faith Formation) on praying with scripture. Together with others, you’ll have the opportunity to practice opening your heart and mind to what God is trying to tell you through the bible. The night will conclude with additional prayer and music.
Tuesday, April 1st at 7pm: “Turn to God”
On the final night, prayerful music will lead into a talk led by Marissa Dabakian (Director of Stewardship and Development). You’ll learn about the Catholic concept of contrition and how this sorrow moves us to a deeper experience of God's love and mercy. In this spirit of conversion, we will prepare ourselves to receive forgiveness through Reconciliation and pray before the Lord through Adoration. Hannah Schmitz (Notre Dame ECHO Apprentice) will lead a brief reflection on Eucharistic Adoration before all will be invited to engage in the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions.
This Parish Mission is recommended for adults and teens. Each night’s programming will be approximately 1.5 hours. While the most enhanced experience will be to attend all three nights, all are welcome to attend any single night. Come pray with us!

Deepen your prayer life this Lent! Join fellow parishioners on the Hallow app for the Pray40 daily prayer challenge as we reflect on the writings of St. Josemaría Escrivá, author of The Way. It begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Together, we'll explore his powerful spiritual guidance through the story of Servant of God Takashi Nagai, a Japanese Catholic who miraculously survived the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945. In an instant, he lost everything but found strength by surrendering himself and his city to the Lord.
Looking for a kid-friendly alternative? Join The Little Way challenge which is available on our parish page as well.
To join the prayer challenge, visit our parish page on the Community tab of the Hallow app. If you're new to Hallow, go to hallow.com/parish to get started.
